Problem Of Street Children In Srilanka

These days the so called street children don't suffer from poverty alone that prevent them to go to schools or find medicine but also the society treat them with Non-humanitarian way, the people fear of them, beside this they are subjected to rape, beatings and face different ways of insults, torture and exploitation by the outlaw gangs who use these children in the robbery, begging and drug distribution. 

And guys a sad news i read from a newspaper is that recently it has been discovered bodies of them which have been hiding drugs in their bodies while their organs were stolen. How pathetic as we know it now but still remain silent.

We can see guys that what an important topic we have about the street children for us to produce a report on, our report should help to make a change in their lives guys.

How can we forgive ourselves after we know that there are millions of children are facing poverty with their naked bodies and hungry stomachs while they are suffering from extreme cold? As human we have got a good chance to respond.

As a solution to save these children i would like to suggest some ideas, but it may not be practical but correct me if i am wrong.

If every house embraced a child and takes acre of him, the problem will end, in the past we didn't have a strong economy, but we did not see a child in the street because people have compassionate hearts........, but guys we must see what has happened to human to be so cruel like this at the present world.

As a solution we can acknowledge the society to share on building orphan organizations if we cannot host a child in our houses.

Most of the street children are really in poor condition; they never were proper cloths or let's say that they don't have cloths to change. It is extremely necessary to support the deprived street children who are suppressed by the family, society. It is also found that street children especially girls were involved in prostitution. 

                          They also become victim of sexual harassment, assaults. The street children beg whole day and live where they can find more money. Their numbers are increasing in tourist areas and busy areas. As the tourists help them by providing food, clothes and money. Since childhood, due to street life lack of awareness, lack of family love, support, tourist influence, bad habits and curiosity they end up using tobacco dust, cigarette, alcohol, and dendrite and had also started using drugs, injection and etc.

 Drugs have become major problem, fulfill all this kind of stuff they have to steal, rub, pick pocket, involve in criminal activities and prostitution. They should be helped, they should live as other children would live; go to school, have family to love, play and don't have to worry about money in such a small age.

As this is becoming very major problem in mostly 3rd world countries we have to start helping them by feeding, giving them clothes but this is all temporary help, their situation are not change only giving them money and food.. So Because of all those problem we have decided solid solution such as open street children schools where all the children would come and study, get food, clothes, books, pencils, educations and conduct counseling sessions . We want to do more and help them or rescue them for their miserable life.
